Days of the Week

In Korean, the days of the week are called 요일 (yoil).

Examples

오늘은 월요일입니다.
Today is Monday.

내일은 화요일입니다.
Tomorrow is Tuesday.

Months of the Year

The names of the months are simple in Korean. They use Sino-Korean numbers followed by 월 (wol), which means "month."

Note: Some months have pronunciation changes:

6월 → 유월 (Yuwol), not 육월
10월 → 시월 (Siwol), not 십월

Examples

제 생일은 8월입니다.
My birthday is in August.

Dates in Korean

Dates are written in the following order:

Year + Month + Day

Format

YYYY년 MM월 DD일

2025년 12월 25일

December 25, 2025
